Flat Stanley

Dear Cola,

            My name is Claudia and I have been on a nice, exciting adventure with my own Flat Stanley Character. Her name is Susana. We have spent the weekend together and have enjoyed it very much. Our first idea to a nice day was to visit the Los Angeles County Art Museum. Discovering wonderful colors, many we have yet to know about and works of art that have their own special meaning. Learning that for many artisit shapes, and patterns are very important and show feelings, like happy, sad, angry, and joyful. Art is fun and Susana and I had a great time exploring the Museum, someday you should visit the Los Angeles County Art Museum. Animals are also such an amazing piece of art; they bring art to our world and make it brighter for us every day to see nature. Susana and I enjoyed it a lot. We enjoyed the rest of our day and then went for a nice meal then headed home to sleep and share our day’s adventure with the family. It was sure a nice day.

 Rain began to come down the following day, Saturday. We thought our plans would be ruined for the day but we recieved help from my mom and played games with everyone and also watched a movie. We ate popcorn and ice cream, yum. Our day went well and we had a lot of fun. We did not know we could have as much fun outside of home as we did when we were home with rain.

Our weekend continued very well and we were excited for what was coming next for Sunday. We woke up early not knowing why we had been woken up so early. Sunday, March 18, it was the day of the Los Angeles Marathon! We were excited to see a couple of my friends come down the road running 26.2 miles. Woah! We were excited and looked forward for that day. We got ready with warm clothes because the weather was still cold from the rain from the day before. We saw most of my friends pass by and they were doing well. They made it till the end of the Los Angeles Marathon and we were very proud of them! Susana and I enjoed our weekend and had many fun adventures that we went through. I hope you enjoyed knowing what adventures we went on and it was nice to have Susana around to enjoy it with.
